Family Empowerment Through Farming

Many of our families struggle to feed themselves. We help them by providing seeds, fertilizer, equipment, and training. This allows them to raise larger crops and have enough to sell as well. In addition, we can also provide families with a young pig for breeding purposes. Within 8 months, that piglet can produce 8-9 piglets, and 8 months later, another 10-11 piglets, and … well, you get the picture!

The cash they get from selling these piglets gives them a much-needed economic boost. One such farmer said to us, “The piglet you gave me has raised me to a higher economic bracket!” Your donation of $50 or more to our Family Empowerment Fund will provide a piglet for a family…. And the story goes on!

Education

Education eradicates ignorance, and every child deserves to attend school and acquire knowledge. SEKA Ministries assists children in accessing educational resources.

For children living in poverty, education can seem like a luxury, even though it is a fundamental right for all individuals. Lacking education results in a grim future for families and communities. SEKA Ministries prioritizes children’s education among its various initiatives $40 dollars can change a child’s life.

We provide resources that help children finish their education and succeed beyond primary school. We frequently cover school fees, stationery, and health insurance costs. Each child we assist allows us to make a positive difference in their life and the lives of their families. We work with families to help shape children’s futures because every child is a part of a family.

Youth and Life Skills

Every youth should aspire to be a part of their own self-discovery journey. We help youth build confidence in themselves and discover their untapped potential.

In a world of swift changes, our youth need the right combination of skills to thrive. Access to information is increasing, and memorizing facts is less important today than in the past. Although educational skills remain important, they are not enough to foster thorough, productive, and engaged citizens. Youth everywhere need to develop a greater breadth of skills to evaluate and apply knowledge to meet the new demands of our shifting social and economic landscape.

Despite being society’s main pillars of development, youth today lack self-esteem and confidence. SEKA Ministries (SM) has a vision to help youth gain knowledge and understanding of their abilities, character, and feelings. SM intends to help youth have a clear understanding of who they are and what they are capable of in this changing world. Youth need skills in communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and flexibility if they are to be very productive.
